执子之手,将子拖走: Grabbing Your Hand, Dragging you Away by

“Ah-Lan.” Yuwen Rui spreads his arms towards me, “Come here.”

I walk towards him, leaving him to pull me into his arms. He holds me and walks for a while before suddenly asking: “Ah-Lan, do you like tigers?”

“……” I fall silent for a long while, then say: “Don’t like.”

“Oh.” He also falls silent, after a while, he says: “Looks like I need to work harder to make you get used to and then like tigers.”

I, you, f*ck you.

“Do you like tigers?” He once again asks.

I once again ponder for a long while, dully saying: “Like.”

“Very well.” He nods in satisfaction, those long and fine fox eyes filled with a smile, “I thought, you would like it too.”

A novel to end your 2017 ! I just finished reading this thanks to XIA0XIAO1MEI.

Time travelling!!! My favorite genre. So where do I start with this book? There would be a lot of spoilers here just so

I think I should start with the characters, starting with my favorite person. And the most obvious character . Ah Lan or Ah Ran on her past life , time traveled and took the life of the 4th princess of a kingdom.  Her past life is really relate-able even to this side of my computer.  Honestly I could not fault her for that. There is a great difference between forgetting and forgiving. One could forgive you for your faults but it doesn’t  mean that what you’ve done is forgotten.

What Ah Ran did was to put the hurt behind, leave the pains the memories of her past life and moved on. Most importantly carry the lessons of that life with her.  Caring too much is too much, being too kind  its not being kind, , do everything in moderation including moderation.Giving everything , your very life to someone is a gamble itself , something Ah Ran lost to.  And that lesson was something she took on her next life, so when reading this novel you could see that  at the first chapters , the now called Ah Lan choose distance herself from people, choose to ignore the obvious, play the fool.  I think that her obliviousness  did bear a good thing as it attracted  Yuwen Rui to his side.
The last two chapters gave a final bow to Ah LAn’s past life and to be honest ,for me it was the my most starred chapter. If I could start each chapter this one is my five star. The last ones were about the two people who betrayed her  most in that past she left behind. Her sister and that man. I guess you could say that they got what they deserved for what has happened as mush as Ah Ran finally had her peace.

This is where I;ll end since  I might say more than what I have already spilled.

The novel is already on its last hurrah so you can just go and binge read right now,

Prologue

You should start with this, apparently this is an extra chapter but the kind person who translated it made it a prologue since one could say that this chapter started everything. Plus you could have a brief look of what our most characters look like when life was still white and black for them.

Enjoy reading!
